Koh Rong Island 2, Cambodia, May 27th 2013

Chugging along on the Gulf of Thailand, hot drinks, water and fruit on offer helping to while away the time. An untouched island slips by, so sign of life whatsoever. No sign of life on the boats top deck either as our western passengers continue to sleep like babies.

Looking from Victory Hill out towards Thailand's Koh Samui Island, Koh Rong is seen in the far distance and sits as two separate islands - Samloem on the left and the larger main island on the right. Samloem is the first stop and gives visitors a glimpse of remote island living as the boat approaches a rickety bamboo constructed jetty. Looking onto the beach and small village here its clear the garbage control is not a priority!

Next stop, Koh Rong Main, about 20 minutes away.
